Six foot fencing provides privacy, and the well-established trees, vines, and gardens add to the enchanted hideaway feel. Extensive glass windows and doors throughout the house provide an immersion into the outdoors of greenery, flowers, and nature; and many louvers provide good airflow. The home also comes with three decks: an entry deck overlooking the front garden, and two at the rear of the house overlooking the back of property rainforest. In addition, two upstairs balconies, one off an upstairs bedroom/office/studio, and another at the back of the house. Both back decks, and back balcony are closed-in with heavy-duty shade cloth, providing pleasant outdoor use all year round, and allowing the large glass doors to remain open to the fresh air and the sound of birds.

Modern technology and centuries-old crafting methods were used to build this house. The enormous solid timber poles, magnificent exposed beams, seasoned hardwood framing, and wide and thick timber floorboards are the foundational construction materials. The majority of timbers are old forest, naturally cured from local sawmills from around Queensland: the enormous ironbark poles are from Central West Qld. All floors are made from oversized ironbark floorboards, and the whole house framing is hardwoods from the Stanthorpe border region; the doors and trims are Queensland Cedar from Eungella in Central Qld.

The home was built starting in the mid 2000's and completed in 2008, by a veteran pole home and timber specialist trade builder, and specifically made to last for generations. Many of the walls and doors throughout the house have been finished with artwork by a local fine art painter who lived in the home.

The home has a rock solid framework, with minimal maintenance, but the property also could be readily made even more beautiful by future owners.

The property is fully fenced and is small dog-proof, and has no back neighbours (as this is a large Nature Reserve of temperate rainforest); plus split cycle air-conditioning in two rooms and fans in others, a carport/parking area for 3-4 cars, a storage/workshop area, and is connected to town water and sewerage, and also has connection to a rain water tank, plus the gardens have been developed with well-mulched, fertile soils.

All the usual amenities could not be more convenient, as the home is a two minute walk from the village of Glass House Mountains with a well established IGA, Medical Centre and Health Therapies, Pharmacy, Post Office, Hairdresser, Vet, Cafe, Bakery, Bottle Shop and more, plus a little further around the corner is a Tavern, Railway Station, Bus Stop, parklands and a variety of walking paths. The township also has various active special interest groups, a Bowls Club, and a Primary School.

All this a 10-15 minute easy drive to any of the major famous Glass House mountains, or to Australia Zoo. The property is approx. a 1 hour drive to Brisbane Airport or CBD; and 40 minutes to Caloundra beaches or to the equal delights of Maleny and surrounds.

Due to the distinctiveness and location of this property, it lends itself to a multitude of possibilities. It is perfect for comfortable, enriching, private living, coupled with immense convenience, and/or capitalise on the uniqueness and incredibly opportune location and use some/all of the home as a BnB, or a higher-end rental, and/or with council approval, as a Gallery or other light business establishment, and/or made into a residential duplex. Plus the obvious resale value for a home of this calibre and proximity. There is nothing to lose and plenty to gain with this particular property.
