The large front aluminium bi-fold doors are the highlight and are of commercial/heavy duty grade and can open up to approx 5m wide (easy to push in your Jetski/small boat). Or build a lean-to on side of Shack.
"Third Bedroom" is a 1977 Franklin Caravan (sleeps 4-5) Have gutted out its Kitchen to give more storage space. Has a double bed on one end, and single bunk bed on other, with sitting area as well around table.
Front has bullnose verandah, leading to flat verandah area where the outdoor setting and BBQ is under. To keep the sun out there are Shadecloth blinds that can cover the whole front of the Shack.
Backyard has a rainwater tank, outdoor kitchen area with access to the sewerage point/River water outdoor tap. This enclosed private flat verandah area has space for all your river toys and to store your firewood for bonfires.
It has recently had completed a new bathroom with vanity, toilet and shower, all tiled with quality fixings.
There is a private boat ramp down by the River, with a large grassed lawn, BBQ and shelter facilities. Wide berth river, awesome skiing locations! Lots of entrances to back waters for fishing. Great Family Park, has Playground, Activities are organised for Easter, and New Years...and it will be a sorely missed Holiday Park.
Every year (approx July) they have the Australian Off Road Championships near Waikerie (approx 25min drive from Blanchetown). Waikerie has a hospital, supermarket, school, skatepark, swimming pool, etc with lots of tourist info, walks/bike tracks, etc
Blanchetown (Home of Lock No.1) has a popular Pub and Winery, a couple of grocery stores, with takeaway food, park with playground and lovely picnic grounds by the Lock.
