Description

Phone enquiries - please quote property ID 27211.

We purchased this block from Mrs Pontifex who dreamed of setting up a primitive camp for groups of disadvantaged children from the NSW Central Coast to experience the Inland, however she reached an age which restricted her creating that dream. Maybe you have the same dream.

The 40 acre site is an easy 63 kms northwest of Bourke, with well maintained roads.

The block was surveyed in 2016, with concrete and steel post fencing installed. The fencing is in need of some work.

There is untouched typical inland Mallee vegetation all over, sitting along the banks of the Warrego River, which transverses the Western and Northern corners of the property, lay River Gums and Lignin. A beautiful serene environment.

The front of the property (Eastern side) joins to a parcel of Crown reserve land, with access to the property through the Crown Land which has a current licence in place.

Natural limestone was discovered approx. half a metre down when the fencing was completed.

The property is a leisurely 500m stroll to the local Warrego Hotel, where you will find free hot water showers straight out of the Artesian Basin. The water is lovely clear, soft and refreshing, as are the cold beverages at the local.

Opposite the hotel is the small village of Fords Bridge, a combination of a dozen homes, a tennis court, a hall and a dirt golf course. Nearby is the runway for the Flying Doctors etc.

Whether its the dry season or wet, the river is full of yabbies. We've sat around the campfire on many occasions, savouring a 'coldie' whilst eating delicious yabbies. Simply heaven.

The richness of the land, the local fauna, together with our native animals makes this property a home away from home.

So whether you are after a block of land to go camping on or you want to look at building a home, or parking a bus, this is the place you
